The CWF pneumatic dome valve uses a spherical-shape dome and an inflatable-seal to ensure a 100% airtight seal. Due to its features, the valve achieves a long service life, even in abrasive applications. Consequently, overall system reliability is increased dramatically.
Features and Benefits
The dome is actuated through a quarter-circle arc via a linear double-acting cylinder and linkage mechanism.
When valve closes, the rubber sealing ring is inflated to hold pressure on the spherical dome valve seat, thus forming a very reliable sealing ring to stop the flow of material and gas.
When the valve opens, there is a 0.2-0.4 mm gap between the valve seat and rubber seal, making the movement between the valve seat and rubber sealing ring contactless. The reason for this is to have no friction between the valve seat and rubber sealing ring, which reduces wear and tear and maximizes the service life of the valve.
Quick-exhaust valves are used to ensure rapid opening and closing of the valve.
After manufacture, each valve is air-pressure tested and 100% airtight sealing is confirmed and certified.
